It just doesn't seem to make much sense to have a paid account at DW since all I do is read, I never post. But I should remove some of the few icons I have and upload some seasonal ones.

I think I have over 460 icon spaces at LJ because I have a permanent account and every year they add what they call "loyalty" icons. I haven't used all my available user pic spaces, mostly because it's so annoying to add new ones only one at a time.

Sounds like it's best for you to use a free account. I'm ok with not having a paid account here, too.

I wish I had a permanent account, butI doubt they'll ever offer it again. But I have over 300 icon spaces, which is plenty. It would be nice to add more than one icon at a time, but I don't mind doing it individually. Maybe because I do them gradually, anyway.

I recall reading in LJ News about a year ago that they had had inquiries about permanent accounts being offered in the future and they said it wasn't going to be an option. Actually, I'm surprised that they still honor the permanent accounts that were paid for before the Russian group took over.
