Happy first day of Autumn! Here's a little poem that I wrote to celebrate the day...

Trapped in a prison of heat and haze,
Autumn presses her face
against summer’s window,
praying for the chill
of a colder sun,
waiting for summer to drift away,
like a bird vanishing in twilight.


Autumn rises in the still of night,
her harvest face bathed in moonlight.
The world looks above in wonder,
stretching out its hollow hands,
waiting to be filled.

It's the time of year for autumn coloring. :) This is another one from Nikki Burnette's grayscale coloring book, done with alcohol markers and sharpies.
