casey28Solstice is the longest night, but also a sign that brighter days are coming. We're so busy with holidays, but it's also a time of hibernation and renewal.
I wrote a little poem to go with the beautiful picture...
Hibernation
Safe in the arms of silent snow
Night blankets us in hidden earth
Like roots than cling in the ground below
Books read by sleepy lips
stitch us to the dormant page
like the frozen wax of a candle’s drip
