Some thoughts about the eclipse...

It was an amazing experience, even though I wasn’t in the area of totality. Watching as it went from the size of a fingernail on the left side, then growing larger as it emerged from the top of the moon. Everything around me looked sharper, especially shadows. The light was dim, but not dark like sunset. A patch of sky above had dark streaks in it, as if the night sky was trying to peek through. I thought it would be much darker, but most of the sky was still blue. I learned that even with 92% of it covered, the sun is powerful enough to give us a unique version of daylight. The light is thin, but the world is still very much visible in it.

Anyway, it was fun!

Lots of great pics of the eclipse out there... this one from tastefullyoffensive made me smile. :)

We looked, but it wasn't visible at all in NH.
